We live in a world that can be impersonal and increasingly detached. Tango allows us to become more connected to the others and ourselves. By practicing awareness of our bodies, emotions, thoughts and surroundings we have the potential to share intimacy, share space, be vulnerable, and create a beautiful moment of dance. And at the same time, we can set safe boundaries for ourselves and others. The skills that we learn and apply in tango are transferable to the real world. With patience and practice, over time, we can begin living our lives in a deeper, more meaningful, and joyous way.
